Iimori Shrine has long been considered as the guardian deity of the Ainoura area. The unique aspect of this shrine is a large stone statue of a catfish enshrined near the main hall building. One of the legends is that a resident who suffered from a skin disease once prayed to a stone in the shape of a catfish on the shrine grounds and was cured of the disease. It is believed to be beneficial for beauty and health, and their "white catfish fortune slip," in which a wooden white catfish holds a fortune slip, is attracting more and more visitors.
