姫の松原

Ojika

One of "One Hundred Finest Pine Forests in Japan" with a road beautifully lined with pine trees.

When you walk through this 450-meter long road that has pine trees lined on both sides, you'll feel as if you're on an ancient Japanese road. It was chosen as one of "One Hundred Finest Pine Forests in Japan" in 1983, and "One Hundred Sceneries of Trees along the Streets in Japan" in 1994. There is a modern style worship hall Shijiki Shrine along the road, and a mound of "Gohketsu-zuka" on the side by the willow tree.
