It is known as the foremost wisteria garden in Kyushu, and there are the prefectural designated natural tresure "Ohfuji" the Japanese wisteria, and an eight-hundred year old giant tree enshrined as the sacred "Ogatama Tree". Fuji is one of the famous ancient flower trees of Japan, and it signifies "marriage" in the language of flowers. During its peak season, it is illuminated in the evening.
