An art museum next to Shimanose Park in the central city area of Sasebo, planning and holding exhibitions for various genres of excellent art works. As permanent exhibitions, there is the archaeological exhibition room which has the model of Senpuku-ji Cave and the excavated artifacts from the ruins such as "Toryumon" the world's oldest pottery from more than 12,000 years ago.
