The westernmost point of Japan's mainland.
Kohzakibana is the westernmost point of Japan's mainland. In the park, there is a monument at the westernmost tip and also a monument of "Quadrupole Exchange" with Wakkanai City(the nothernmost tip), Nemuro City(the easternmost tip), and Minami-Ohsumi Town(the southmost tip) which have friendship agreements with Sasebo City. The view of the boundless blue ocean and the peaceful sound of the waves fascinate the visitors.
"A Certificate of Visiting the Westernmost point of Japan's Mainland" will be issued at the Kosaza branch of Sasebo City office, Kosaza-cho Tourist Association, and Kujukushima Fishery Co-op.
