Within Takenokoba Park, part of Genkai Quasi-National Park, around 10,000 azaleas—including torch azaleas and Hirado azaleas—bloom in vivid color. From late April to early May, the Azalea Festival is held, drawing crowds for events such as a karaoke contest and a local products market.
