A station known for its cherry trees

The cherry blossoms at Matsuura Railway Uranosaki Station were planted by local residents during the former Japanese National Railways era. Over time, they have grown into a beautiful row of trees, earning the station its nickname, “Cherry Blossom Station.” At full bloom, the Somei Yoshino trees form a tunnel that attracts photographers and flower-viewers.
