An air-raid shelter hand dug in the end of Pacific War time.

"Mukyu-do" is a huge air-raid shelter dug by teachers and students of Miya Village National Elementary School during World WarⅡ(1943). It is large enough for 500 students to evacuate into. There are classrooms with platforms, a kitchen and pantry, and even toilets in order to be able to live and learn during the evacuation.
