Kuroshima

A graceful romanesque church

Kuroshima Catholic Church was established by the christian people who moved from Ikitsuki and Sotome in the Bunka・Bunsei era. 【Please contact us in advance when you visit Kuroshima Catholic Church.】
The churches which constitute World Heritage "Hidden Christian Sites in the Nagasaki Region" are still in use as the places for prayers. There could be the time when we cannot accept visitation to the churches due to the religious events such as Mass or other ceremonial occasions, or just for too many visitors at once. To avoid such situations, a prior notice is required when you visit those churches as well as Kuroshima Church. Please contact the "Hidden Christian Sites in the Nagasaki Region" Information Center in advance.< Click here←>
